Fire and acoustic compliant recessed downlighters have been designed to meet the stringent legal requirements of the Building Regulations Parts B&E.
The design provides a sealed barrier between the underside of the ceiling and the void area above, thus maintaining acoustic integrity in accordance with Part E of the Building regulations.
The incorporated materials ensure that the fitting can withstand fire in accordance with the requirements of Part B of the Building regulations.
Thus, both regulations can be complied with, without the need for separate fire hoods or a segregated ceiling void as requested by the Standard Robust Details.
